Before deploying the Sensorbee Modbus unit, it must be configured.
Use an PH2 Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the sensor-house from the base as shown in figure 1.

Place the sensor housing upside down next to the base without disconnecting the cable, as shown in Figure 2.

Connect a USB Type-C cable from the unit's USB Type-C port to an available USB port on a laptop or desktop computer. Once the connection is successful, the status LED (5) will illuminate in white, indicating that the unit is in configuration mode.

A serial monitor or terminal emulator may be employed for configuration of the Modbus unit through its USB-C interface. Refer to the terminal emulator installation guide for comprehensive instructions on Tera Term, the emulator of choice.
Follow the modbus configuration guide to setup the unit.
Once configuration is complete, the unit can be assembled and is ready for deployment.
Use an PH2 Phillips screwdriver to screw the sensor-house back the base as shown in figure 4.
Double check that the cable between the sensor-house and base does not get squeezed in the seal between them.
